I’m Rob.

I have Crohn’s, a permanent ostomy, and I’ve spent years playing professional pickleball.

Having an ostomy made hydration something I had to take seriously.

In September 2025, Vanshik Kapadia and I reached the quarterfinals of a professional tournament in Kuala Lumpur and drew the No. 1 seeds, Ben Johns and Christian Alshon, two of the best players in the world.

We won the first game 11-9.

Near the end of that game, I started getting lightheaded in the heat. By the third, I was vomiting. I took a medical timeout, went back out, and finished the match.

Later, electrolyte products I used in India caused deep stomach cramps.

I wanted a hydration product that fit the way I had learned to think about my own body and my gut.

I couldn’t find the combination I wanted.

So I built Flexara.
